about

"What is done out of love always takes place beyond good and evil."
-- Friedrich Nietzsche

A journey from hell to heaven in thirteen tracks. The tracks are chronologically ordered by the time they were written and recorded.

In May 2010, Sylvia and I started raising funds from our friends and fans so we could take time off to produce the 11th paniq album, then known under the project name "The Most Remarkable Album On This Entire Planet". Unexpectedly, the crowdfunding was a huge success, so work started in August and ended in November as planned. This is what we came up with.

Music and artwork are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 license. You may copy, remix and share our work legally.

All music written, recorded and produced by Leonard Ritter on Ubuntu Linux, using the open source music tools Jacker and Eintopf, written by yours truly during production time. For more information, visit bitbucket.org/paniq/. Additional tools used: Ardour, Calf Plugin Pack, Reaper, iZotope Ozone 4.

All artwork drawn and painted by Sylvia Klaus on paper, scanned with GIMP and stitched with Hugin. CD, Booklet and Digipak layouted with Inkscape. For more art by Sylvia Klaus, visit faith303.deviantart.com.

A big "thank you" goes to our most generous donors, some of who also provided us with feedback on the most remarkable mailing list: Tim Bartel, Martijn de Boer, Felix Bohmann, Alex Brem, Johan Burell, Ulrich Bär, Andrew Conkling, Andrew Denyes, Reza Esmaili, Mathias Garbe, Fabian Giesen, Johannes Grabowski, Oliver Grünewald, Angela Grünewald, Richard Hafner, Tammo Hinrichs, Andrew Holland, Liam Jones, Martin Klein, Peter Knight, Sandro Manke, Jürgen Markert, Michel Meyers, Yuriy O’Donnell, Kai Pöthkow, Holger Rosenlöcher, Dominik Rothenberg, S.J.Bennett, Michael Schulze, Felix Schütz, Marcel Stritzelberger, Michael Sänger, Malte Thiesen and Richard White.
